Vertdevin
(77% SB, 12% Muscadelle, 11% Semillon) The nose is fruity and elegant, with a lovely enveloping, seductive edge and some flesh. It reveals notes of pulpy nectarine, juicy pear and, more subtly, vibrant lychee, with touches of bright vineyard peach and juicy/vibrant kumquat, along with fine hints of pulpy lime and crushed green apple. The palate is nicely guided, fruity, fresh, suave, and offers a zesty backbone. It shows a lovely crystalline, floral and airy character, marked by white fruit and a fine, polished richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright white peach and apple, and, more subtly, white flowers, with touches of kumquat, a subtle hint of almost exotic fruit, accents of juicy/fresh Williams pear, as well as fine hints of almost lime/yuzu sweetness. Very fine finesse in the richness/management of bâtonnage on fine lees. A wine offering a delicate saline edge, a subtle brioche/toasty note on the finish, very delicate, and a subtle tannic touch in the aromatics and structure on the finish. A great success.
