Chandon de Briailles : Corton Grand cru "Bressandes" 2017

Produced from a 1.45-hectare holding in Bressandes, this yields a wine with bright, high-toned cherry fruit and appealing floral aromas. The wine is less massive than Clos du Roi, but it is more expressive aromatically. On the palate, it is silky and fresh, yet still tannic and substantial. The overall impression is one of seamless integration and elegance.

We’re still in the imprint of the grape: it’s pure and intense, with florals never far away. Despite the density and depth of its juice, the touch remains delicate. A broad, full Corton, yet graceful.

Very perfumed and spicy, this red evokes incense, sandalwood, rose and wild berry aromas and flavors. The compact frame and dense structure reveal grip on the finish for now, but the aftertaste extends with berry, green olive and spice notes. Best from 2023 through 2042.
