Description
Tasting notes and serving recommendations for Chandon Spritz Orange Peel & Spices
Tasting
Nose
This spritz reveals a seductive aromatic bouquet, marked by spicy notes of star anise and cardamom, subtly intertwined with citrus aromas.
Palate
The palate offers a fine balance between the freshness of the sparkling wine, the characteristic bitterness of Valencia orange, and herbal hints of gentian, resulting in a rich and flavorful profile.
Food and wine pairings
Perfect as an aperitif, this product also pairs harmoniously with spicy Asian dishes, carpaccios, as well as sushi and sashimi.
Serving and cellaring
To enjoy this Chandon under optimal conditions, it is recommended to serve it simply over ice, accompanied by a slice of dried orange and a sprig of rosemary. In winter, a warmer variation can be made by adding a cinnamon stick to the preparation.
An Argentine Sparkling Wine with a Unique Character by Chandon
The estate
Founded in 1959 in the Andes of Argentina by Robert-Jean de Vogüé, the Chandon brand was born from a desire to export French sparkling expertise. Now owned by the LVMH group and led by Arnaud de Saignes, the House shines across four continents.
A spritz crafted through meticulous production
A historic reference in the range, this spritz is the result of a refined blend of sparkling wine made from Argentine chardonnay, pinot noir, and sémillon with natural citrus and spice extracts. It combines our expertise with macerations of natural orange peel extracts, sourced from organically grown oranges in Tucumán, in northwestern Argentina.
