Pronounced fruit on the nose and palate; rich, almost opulent yet without heaviness, ripe cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, fine tannins; long finish. Very successful again this year.

Endearing aromas of sweet herb, ripe plum and cassis introduce a juicy palate with fine tannin leading to a long, satisfying finish.

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening on the rim. Ripe cherries, fine cassis, some blackberry confit, inviting bouquet. Juicy, elegant, liquorice, fresh acidity, ripe tannins, mineral and salty finish, a light-footed style and a versatile food wine.

Delicate red and blue-berried bouquet, notes of violet and lilac, and light tobacco. On the juicy palate, a soft texture, well-supporting freshness, and a straightforward medium body. The focused finish shows fresh red cherry juice, redcurrant jelly, and fine-grained astringency. A safe bet from Haut-Médoc.

The first Bordeaux estate to be bought by Treasury Wine Estates, now produced in much smaller quantities as most of the vines were used in other wines. It's good quality, with cheerful and well-balanced red fruits, fresh acidity, and an easy-going style. My suggestion is to look to the excellent Lanessan in this vintage, also in the same group.

There is a wealth of sweet, ripe, juicy, vibrant, chewy red fruits with a savory note here, on the nose and palate. Forward, fresh, and vibrant, this is going to be great on release for its lift, touch of chocolate, and red berries on the finish. Drink from 2026–2039. 89–91 pts.
