This offers a mix of bitter plum and black currant preserve flavors laced with slightly taut cedar, savory and sanguine notes. Nicely focused, if just a bit shy on depth through the finish. Best from 2020 through 2028. 2,000 cases made.

Elegant plum notes, along with cherries, figs and cloves on the nose. The rich, powerful palate boasts strong tannins, fresh acidity and well-integrated oak.

Aromas of violets, blackberries, lavender and dried tea leaves. Full-bodied, yet tight and focused with everything in check. Firm tannins run through the center of the wine, giving it focus and beauty. 94% merlot and 6% cabernet franc. Drink in 2022.

94% Merlot. 37 hl/ha. Notably fragrant. Not very concentrated but easy and floral. Rather dry on the end. Not very ambitious. (JR)

Black raspberries, night-blooming blossoms, cocoa, a smattering of fennel and a touch of mint on the nose. Medium-bodied, silky tannins, soft in texture with a cocoa-dusted, earthy flair and fresh black cherries on the finish. Unfortunately, there is a hint of bitterness on the finish that keeps this wine from scoring higher. The wine was made from a blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. 89 - 91 pts

Dark, intense color with slight evolution. Very attractive fruity nose with notes of cedar, cream, and spices. Broad on the attack, silky as it unfolds, full mid-palate, very fruity; the wine lingers long, flavorful, with fine tannins. It’s very good. Blend: 94% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc.
