High-toned fruit aromas, cranberry, red currant, an almost citrus aspect presage a somewhat light palate with red berry fruit. It is important to stress that the tannins are well managed here, maybe almost playing it too safe, as the wine has an almost fleeting sense on the finish, but – overall – this is a fine wine for your barbecue. Medium finish, with plenty of lift.

Soft, supple, creamy, and fresh, the medium-bodied, refined wine offers a core of ripe, sweet, vibrant berries and pit fruits, with lingering touches of espresso, plums, licorice, spices, and cherries in the elegant finish. You can enjoy this in its youth, or age it for more complexity. Drink from 2029-2048. 91-93 Pts

Hedgerow brambles, cassis pastille, concentrated and sweet, well balanced, cloves and gunsmoke showing measured oak influence that is helpful to balance out the low phs. Real charm on display. Harvest August 25 to September 15. 35% new oak.

From the outset, the bouquet sets an inviting tone, offering a spectrum of aromas that moves between violet notes, orange peel, black cherries, blackberries and aromatic herbs. The velvety attack fully echoes the greatness promised by the nose. The wine is broad and powerful, thanks to fleshy tannins that provide an excellent backbone. I also note the incisive character of the acidity, which emerges late in the background and slightly tempers the tannic dominance. The result is a harmonious, vigorous, fresh wine, and certainly one of the greatest successes from Grand Corbin that I have had the opportunity to taste. Congratulations to the whole team.

Delicately scented nose of violet, a touch of rosemary and a cool fireplace note; a supple attack with a creamy texture, then it tightens up on the mid-palate, becoming sleeker and more linear; fine-grained tannins provide support, the fruit is delicate; a long, fresh finish with blood orange and red cherry.
