5% Cabernet Sauvignon was added to the Merlot-Cabernet Franc blend this year. Oak is apparent, making it a touch awkward, but there is depth of fruit behind.

This is extremely well done for a difficult year, with white pepper, chalk and hints of white truffle. Medium body, fine tannins and a savory finish. Drink now or hold.

75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich cherry on the nose, lovely purity and sweetness. Simple and light on the palate, with just enough tannin to give a bit of grip on the finish. Rounded, smooth, approachable. (RH)

Oak and spicy plums, dark chocolate and red fruits combine to make a forward, fresh, medium-bodied wine that will be open on release. From a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. 86-88 pts

A blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2013 Montlandrie is deep garnet in color, with a touch of brick. It has a surprisingly youthful nose of black raspberries, juicy plums, and Morello cherries, plus suggestions of candied violets, sandalwood, and dusty soil, with a hint of mint tea. The medium-bodied palate is lively and soft-textured, with bright, vivacious fruit and a perfumed finish. Such a surprise for this very difficult vintage!

Denis Durantou blended 5% cabernet-sauvignon into this lovely wine, lively yet broad and indulgent, with fine flavor and ripe, pure fruit.

A light, delicate wine with good persistence, very elegant. 75% merlot, 20% cabernet-franc, 5% cabernet-sauvignon on clay and limestone. 50% new oak. 18,000 b.

The fruity brightness is still there. The body is a bit firm on the finish, as it always is in this place. The length is lifted by licorice and violet. Blend: 75% merlot, 20% cabernet franc, 5% cabernet sauvignon on clay and limestone.
