Clos Haut-Peyraguey 2024

On the nose, a mix of citrus fruits and pineapple, overlaid with floral notes reminiscent of almond blossom; a straight, concentrated palate, powerful and at the same time highly elegant, aromatically complex, with citrus echoes on the long finish. A great deal of freshness in this wine.

Pale lemon, slightly cloudy. Initially reductive with Sauvignon Blanc-like green notes of gooseberries and passion fruit, opening to tropical fruits and yeasty complexity. The palate shows vibrant freshness with a creamy texture, though slightly lean and bitter. 128 g/L residual sugar.

80% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Cask sample. Straw colour. Sweet but zesty, with citrus and marmalade notes. Lots of freshness but botrytis evident as well. Clean finish. (JL)

Caramel, brown sugar, pineapples, and honeysuckle aromatics are what you initially notice. The wine is fruity (on the tropical side), with sweetness and honey-coated tangerines in the finish. The wine blends 80% Semillon with 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink from 2028-2042. 92-94 Pts

The summer freshness of Ciron comes through in a crystalline bouquet with aromas of fresh herbs (lemon thyme, rosemary), ripe stone fruits, mandarin, and fresh pineapple. Wrapped in a balanced sweetness, the palate is all about the indulgence of ripe mirabelle plum, apricot, and lychee. The fresh, slightly shy finish completes the aromatic landscape.
