This is focused, firm and structured. Aromas of blackberries, smoke, dried meat and baking spices. It's medium- to full-bodied with chewy tannins. Compact and muscular at this stage with a dense core of black fruit to the wild herbs and spices. Vivid and robust. Try after 2028.

The 2022 Côte-Rôtie Le Gallet Blanc opens with prominent black fruit, licorice, cured meat and violet scents. Built around ripe tannins, the medium- to full-bodied 2022 is a fleshy and concentrated Côte-Rôtie that should provide ample pleasure with one more year of bottle age. This fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (10% new).

Beautiful notes of blackberries, spring flowers, pepper, graphite, and cedar all emerge from the 2022 Côte Rôtie Le Gallet Blanc. Medium to full-bodied and pure on the palate, it has a balanced mouthfeel and fine tannins. This seamless, elegant Côte Rôtie will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink well for a decade.
