La Chablisienne : Chablis Village "Les Vénérables" 2019

The 2019 Chablis Les Vénérables is reduced on the nose, and rigorous aeration fails to dislodge the cover of SO2. The palate is balanced but simple, offering light red apple and pear notes but lacking mineralité and tension on the finish. So-so.

Length and hierarchy are respected; well done, dense, with a bit less power.

Quite fruity and expressive, les Vénérables offers a lovely density on the palate and real depth.
