Vinum

Dark ruby, subtle roasted notes, cold fireplace, cola herb, blackberries, floral notes, playful; on the palate, silky, round, builds pressure, remains elegant, the tannins are fine, the acidity is lively, long finish. Will be enjoyable early.

Decanter

Violets and blackcurrants on the nose, ripe and quite heady with an air of sexiness. Some caramel, cedar and dark chocolate too. Unctuous and ripe on the palate, with chewy tannins and lively acidity that really makes this zingy and focused. A good balance of ripe fruit, fine tannins and subtle power, finishing on liquorice, dark chocolate and toast. Structured and massy but in keeping with the vintage, not heavy or dense, yet packed with flavour. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Aged 18 months in 50% new barrels. pH 3.62.

Chocolate-dusted currants, flowers, black currants, and crème de cassis form the nose. Medium-bodied, vibrant, lifted, and juicy, the red fruits are vivid and sweet, with a crunchy quality to the berries that resonates in the finish. The wine blends 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. Drink from 2028-2044. 91-93 pts
