Louis Jadot : Bonnes-Mares Grand cru Dom. Louis Jadot 2018

The Jadot winemaking style has delivered a classic Bonnes-Mares: dense, substantial, and concentrated. The nose is less expressive than some, but there is solid plummy fruit and a note of chocolate on the finish. The texture is rich and tannic, with enough length to impress and enough freshness to bring everything into balance. The grapes are fermented with 25% whole clusters and are firmly punched down before aging in 450-litre casks (one-third new) from Cadus. This wine will open beautifully with time and should last for decades.
