Serving and cellaring

Les Peuilles 2020 is best enjoyed at a temperature between 15 and 17°C. Aerating for around thirty minutes before serving allows the aromas to fully express themselves. This wine has a cellaring potential of around 10 years.

Domaine Olga Raffault: an authentic Chinon

The estate

Founded in 1920 by Olga Raffault in the Chinon area, Domaine Olga Raffault now spans 24 hectares of vines in Savigny-en-Véron, at the heart of the Véron, between the Loire and the Vienne. Sylvie Raffault, the founder’s granddaughter, currently runs the estate alongside her husband Eric de la Vigerie and their son Arnaud de la Vigerie. The estate stands out for its remarkable history of family succession over five generations and its gradual shift toward certified organic farming since 2013. True to a traditional approach that respects the terroir, the estate produces Chinon wines renowned for their authenticity and elegance.

The vineyard

The Les Peuilles cuvée comes from plots located on a clay-silica and limestone plateau with full southern exposure. The vines, with an average age of 25 years, thrive in this privileged terroir of the Chinon appellation, which gives the wine its characteristic structure and minerality.

Winemaking and aging

The grapes for Les Peuilles 2020 are hand-harvested to preserve the integrity of the berries. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by aging in oak foudres, allowing the wine to develop its aromas harmoniously while respecting the expression of the terroir.
