The Pure, Mineral Expression of a Great Champagne by Domaine Alexandre Bonnet
The Estate
Founded in 1970, Domaine Alexandre Bonnet is located in Les Riceys, an emblematic village of the Champagne region on the doorstep of Burgundy. This 47-hectare vineyard, certified Haute Valeur Environnementale, is now run by Arnaud Fabre. Owned by the Lanson-BCC group since 1998, the house has preserved its identity as a grower-producer while developing its brand with great rigour. A Pinot Noir specialist, the estate stands out for its commitment to showcasing its unique terroir through single-parcel cuvées of great precision, combining respect for the environment with long-standing expertise.
The Vineyard
Sourced from a specific parcel in Les Riceys in Champagne, this cuvée takes its name from the old white grape varieties once grown there. The vines thrive on a steep east-facing slope over Kimmeridgian limestone soil. This singular terroir, carefully tended and harvested by hand, gives the grapes exceptional concentration and minerality.
Winemaking and Ageing
The making of "Les Vignes Blanches" Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2019 is based on a rigorous single-parcel approach. Vinification and ageing take place exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit and the identity of the terroir, with no oak whatsoever. The wine then benefits from a long four-year maturation on the lees in bottle before disgorgement.
Grape Variety
This Extra Brut is 100% Pinot Noir
