Ruinart : Dom Ruinart 2009

The wine shows a beautiful evolution. The imprint of the sunny vintage is clearly present, giving the fruit an immediate readability without any heaviness of style. Delicately brioche-like, the nose oscillates between dried fruits and yellow-fleshed fruits. With an extra year, the palate finds its footing, with richer texture and broader amplitude that are less restrained. This is a vinous Chardonnay, but without excess, to be served at the table. A truly good food wine.
