Currently somewhat wood-influenced, with dark and red berries in the background; a light-footed palate, delicate fruit, non-overbearing tannins, harmonious acidity, the wine has drinkability and good length. Harmonious, intended for early drinking.

Tobacco, currants, flowers, and cocoa show in the nose, while the medium-bodied palate provides a bright, fresh, juicy, herbal, and currant-driven profile. You should be able to enjoy this with about a year of aging. The wine blends 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2038. 88-90 pts

The ageing of Agassac enhances the bouquet and lets the fruity nuances take centre stage! With good density, the wine has well-integrated tannins that provide an uplifting vitality, along with a well-defined structure delivering freshness. A savoury, harmonious and promising wine. A great success!

Clear grilled oak on the opening with fleshy if slim fruit underneath, raspberry, black cherry and cassis, supple tannins, plenty to enjoy. Harvest 24 September to 9 October. 30% new oak. No longer Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel because they chose to drop out.
