Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for Tinus Raisins Rôtis Solera 1723 des Tourettes
Tasting notes
Colour
Brilliant and exceptionally clear, the wine reveals a radiant golden-yellow hue.
Nose
The nose opens with alluring floral and dried fruit notes reminiscent of apricot. It also shows a delicate reductive character, revealing touches of leather and hazelnut, along with beautiful mineral complexity.
Palate
Remarkably long, the palate impresses with its density and its fruity profile, dominated by apricot and yellow-fleshed fruits. The whole is perfectly balanced by a slightly creamy texture, nuanced acidity and lingering minerality.
Food and wine pairing
This white wine pairs wonderfully with pan-seared or semi-cooked foie gras, as well as with blue or mature cheeses. For bolder pairings, it will be ideally suited to salmon tartare with ginger, langoustine ravioli or a creamy lobster velouté.
Serving and cellaring
To fully enjoy all the complexity of this cuvée, we recommend serving it at a temperature between 10 and 12°C. Already approachable today, it will benefit from light aeration before tasting to release the full range of its aromas.
The aromatic richness and minerality of a white wine crafted by Guffens
The estate
Les Tourettes was founded in 1997 by Jean-Marie Guffens and his wife Maine Heynen. Building on their success in Burgundy, the founders transformed this estate to apply their philosophy of excellence. Renowned for its innovative approach, the estate produces wines of the highest calibre.
The vineyard
Rising to 420 metres in altitude, the vineyard benefits from a cool microclimate with mild nights, favouring slow ripening of the berries. The vines thrive on complex soils, characterised by an exceptional richness in limestone mixed with sands and clays. The estate practises a distinctive approach to viticulture, limiting soil work and preserving natural grass cover to obtain low, highly concentrated yields.
Winemaking and ageing
Produced according to the solera principle, this Vin de France is the result of a meticulous blend. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by rigorous bunch sorting. The wine then undergoes extended ageing using the solera system, which gives it its creamy texture and great aromatic complexity.
