Description
2012 Pomerol from Bordeaux
Chateau Fayat is located in Libourne town, in the Pomerol AOC. The property was created in 2009 following the merger of three historical wine estates: Commanderie de Mazeyres, Château Prieurs de la Commanderie, and Château Vieux Bourgneuf. The 2012 vintage is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
The wine displays a very dark violet hue with lovely purple shades. The nose exudes plum with blackberry jam. The 2009 Chateau Fayat reveals black fruits, mild tobacco, and currant. This offering is pure, intense, and floral, with well-blended tannins that lead to a pure, long, and intense finish.
