Decanter

Lively and playful on the palate, the focus is really on creamy strawberry and raspberry fruit — there’s an element of eton mess about it — delicious, crunchy, upfront and unfussy. A lovely, joyful take on the vintage, with so much energy but also great detail, not trying too hard, with fresh acidity, smooth tannins and juicy, well-worked fruit. Could be drunk now but will no doubt round out with age. This will find fans for its drinkability. A top buy! Eric Boissenot consultant. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Tasted twice.

James Suckling

A fine and polished red with berries, cherries and currants. Some chocolate and earth. Medium body and silky texture. Well-made for the vintage. Delicious now.

Forward and already approachable thanks to its savory-edged dark red berries, crisp acidity, and a mélange of green herbs that add character on the nose and palate. Drink from 2024–2032.

Falstaff

Falstaff

Deep ruby, purple reflections. Fine herbal savoriness, ripe plums, tobacco nuances, a hint of blackberries. Juicy and fresh, ripe cherries, lively structure, already approachable and versatile.

Starts off with attractive aromatics and finesse, but struggles to maintain momentum and the tannins are a little rustic through the finish, not quite carrying the redcurrant and raspberry fruit. A good quality estate, owned by Millésima. Harvest from September 28 to October 11. Yield of 17 hl/ha, Eric Boissenot consultant.

La RVF

It’s too early to tell which direction the wines’ style will take, since the 2021 vintage was signed off by the former team. This is a fairly soft wine, with a slight hint of firmness on the finish, probably due to Cabernet that’s a bit “al dente” in terms of ripeness.

Terre de Vins

A wine of finesse and discretion. Elegance reveals aromas of redcurrant and cherry pit, followed by subtle woody and spicy notes, finishing on a delicate palate with a gentle bitterness that whets the appetite.
