Cordero di Montezemolo : Elioro Chardonnay 2022

The hot-vintage Cordero di Montezemolo 2022 Langhe Chardonnay Elioro reveals textural weight and generous aromas that soothe and caress the senses. There are no rough edges in this finely integrated white wine that ferments in equal parts cement and barrique and matures in tonneaux for 10 months. It wraps like silk over the palate. Fruit is blended from two vineyards—a historic site in La Morra and a second site with younger vines in Cherasco—to make this 3,300-bottle release.

Boasts peach, apple and lemon flavors initially. As it evolves on the palate, the acidity comes to the fore, with touches of spices and grapefruit on the finish. Drink now through 2028. 330 cases made.
