Domaine Bruno Clair : Vosne-Romanée Village "Les Champs Perdrix" 2023

This wine is among the most outstanding values in Burgundy, and the 2023 vintage does not disappoint. There is a great purity to the red and black fruit character, accented with floral notes and a bit of peppery spice. The structure is silky, yet not lacking structure or grip; this is a wine that places the emphasis on finesse and elegance. The grapes are from nearly a hectare owned by the domaine at the top of the slope above La Tâche. Even though it is right next to Aux Reignots, it is classified as villages.

A pure, transparent nose, like clear water. Just-ripe summer berries—sumptuous and mouthwatering. The palate unfolds generous layers of blue and black fruit, both sweet and tangy, supple yet vibrant. A true lesson in balance.
