Louis Latour : Volnay 1er cru "En Chevret" 2017

Lots of blueberries, blackberries, lavender, and fresh mint on the nose. Full-bodied, with tar and berry flavors, juicy fruit and round tannins at the same time. Just before bottling. Drink after 2021.

A solid Volnay, with cherry, currant, mineral and spice flavors, featuring dense, resonant tannins. Though this is a bit rigid and chunky, the intense fruit shines throughout. Ends with cherry and spice notes. Best from 2022 through 2036. 400 cases imported.
