Barolo. Developing, mid ruby. Tea leaves and perfumed cherry and raspberry on the nose, with a savoury, salty, meaty note that could come from oak. Concentrated sweet cherry and raspberry fruit that is hugely appealing, with a good dose of ripe acidity. Long, finely grained tannins on the finish. (WS)

The 2018 Barolo Cannubi offers good upfront depth. Worn-in leather, macerated cherry, spice and tobacco are all signs of a wine that is evolving at a relatively fast pace. I would prefer to drink the 2018 over the near and medium term.
