Nose
The aromatic bouquet charms with its elegance, releasing aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and plum. Delicate spicy and peppery notes intertwine harmoniously with a subtle mineral touch.

Full-bodied and perfectly balanced, the palate reveals a smooth texture supported by tannins that are both firm and silky. Flavors of juicy red and black fruits blend with nuances of pepper. The finish is long, pleasant, and persistently spicy.
Food and wine pairings

Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate VIK A Carmenere 2022, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 15 and 16°C (59–61°F), ideally after decanting for about thirty minutes before tasting. Enjoyable today, this wine has a fine structure that will allow it to evolve favorably in the cellar for another three to five years.
The elegance and minerality of a Chilean red wine from Central Valley by VIK
The estate
Founded in 2004 by Alexander and Carrie Vik, who remain its current owners, the VIK estate stands as one of the most ambitious wine projects in South America. Located in Chile, this exceptional property is built on a holistic philosophy combining science, technology, and environmental respect. Under the direction of head winemaker Cristián Vallejo, the estate produces wines recognized worldwide for their precision, earning VIK the title of Best Vineyard in the World in 2025.
The vineyard
Nestled in the heart of the Cachapoal Valley, in the Millahue area, the vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate shaped by the cooling breezes of the Pacific Ocean and the descending winds from the Andes Mountains. The estate extends across a mosaic of twelve valleys with varied exposures, resting on deep, porous, decomposed granite soils. Vineyard management follows a sustainable approach, with innovative water management and harvests carried out exclusively by hand at night to preserve the integrity and freshness of the grapes.
The vintage
The year 2022 in Central Valley was marked by an atypical growing season. The unique climatic conditions of this vintage presented distinct challenges while offering remarkable opportunities for berry development, allowing for very precise ripeness and aromatic expression.
Winemaking and aging
A philosophy of minimal intervention guides the production of VIK A Carmenere 2022. Fermentation begins spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grape skins and in the cellar. The wine is then aged with great care for 18 months in French oak barrels, imparting subtle complexity and delicate oaky notes.
Grape variety
100% carmenere.
