The estate
Born into a prestigious Burgundian winegrowing family, Francine Picard took over the family estate Au Pied du Mont Chauve in the 1990s, located in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Committed to biodynamic viticulture, she farms 110 hectares using agro-ecological practices, producing Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs renowned for their quality and elegance. In May 2019, Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, an expert in biodynamics, became Technical Director of this Burgundy estate.
The vineyard
Located in the centre of the village, the climat from which this Chassagne-Montrachet wine is produced is one of the oldest in Chassagne. The vines were planted mostly in the 1940s on gentle slopes, with a south-east exposure and very red soils (iron oxide), light, shallow and with few stones.
