Description
Characteristics and Tasting Notes of the "A Lisa" Malbec 2022 from Bodega Noemia
Tasting
Appearance
The wine reveals an intense violet hue, deep and adorned with plum-like reflections.
Nose
Complex and rich, the aromatic bouquet opens with intense aromas of black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry. It also stands out with mineral touches, hints of cocoa and a floral fragrance reminiscent of lavender.
Palate
Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers a superb structure supported by fine, powdery and perfectly integrated tannins. The whole shines through its great freshness and balanced acidity, extending towards a persistent finish marked by notes of blackcurrant and cherry.
Food and wine pairings
This red wine pairs wonderfully with poultry, roast pork or lean cuts of beef such as fillet. It also goes very well with lamb, sautéed mushrooms, roasted vegetables as well as blue or aged cheeses.
Serving and cellaring
Ready to drink now, the "A Lisa" Malbec 2022 cuvée can be enjoyed with pleasure until around 2028.
The elegance and mineral freshness of a great wine from Patagonia
The estate
Founded in 2001, Bodega Noemia is a prestigious estate located in the Río Negro Valley, in Argentina. This estate stands out for its unique southerly geographic location and its desert climate, irrigated by the pure waters of the Andes. Since 2018, Danish-born winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers has been the sole owner and manager of the estate. Renowned for its artisanal and environmentally respectful approach, the estate cultivates its vines according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming, producing wines with a strongly defined mineral and elegant identity.
The vineyard
The grapes used for this wine from Patagonia come from vines around 40 years old, cultivated by local growers in Mainqué and by the estate's team in the south of Río Negro. The terroir consists of alluvial soils combining clay, silt, sand, gravel and fluvial limestone deposits. The vineyard benefits from organic and biodynamic certification, taking advantage of gravity-fed irrigation drawn from Andean waters and significant thermal amplitude that favours the slow ripening of the berries.
Winemaking and aging
After manual harvesting carried out at dawn in mid-March, the berries undergo maceration for around ten days with particularly gentle extraction. The "A Lisa" Malbec 2022 ferments in stainless steel vats. The wine then benefits from a ten-month ageing period, divided between stainless steel tanks and used 225-litre French oak barrels, before resting for three months in the bottle prior to release.
Grape varieties
This cuvée is made from a blend of Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
