The estate
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is among the oldest and most prestigious houses in Bourgogne. Based in Beaune, it now boasts an exceptional vineyard estate of around 130 hectares, more than two thirds of which are classified as Premier and Grand Crus. Since 2022, the estate has belonged to Artémis Domaines, François Pinault’s wine arm, and is led by Frédéric Engerer. The estate fully transitioned to certified organic farming starting with the 2025 vintage, reflecting a deep commitment to excellence and respect for the environment.
The vineyard
This Bourgogne wine is made from the chardonnay grape variety grown on Burgundy terroirs. The vines benefit from the region’s ideal conditions to fully express the typicity of both the grape and the terroir.
Winemaking and aging
The Bourgogne Chardonnay 2021 underwent partial aging in French oak barrels, complemented by time in stainless-steel tanks. This dual approach preserves the wine’s natural freshness and fruity expression while adding structure and complexity.
