Product of the exceptional 2002 vintage, the Femme de Champagne Grand Cru from the Duval-Leroy estate expresses in the glass its great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir terroirs of origin.
The excellent weather conditions of this 2002 vintage allowed the fruit to reach perfect stages of maturity. Harvested in mid-September, the grapes showed a great wealth of sugars and a nice acidity.
This no-dosage champagne is made from 95% Chardonnay Grand Cru from the terroirs of Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant. Completing the blend is 5% of Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Ambonnay. 20% of the wines were vinified in oak barrels to provide them with an elegant and silky structure. 50% of the blend was aged on the lees.
This champagne is available in a bottle distinguished by its elegant curves, underlining the work of Carol Duval-Leroy and Sandrine Logette-Jardin, the estate’s Cellar Master. The Femme de Champagne Grand Cru 2002 from the Duval-Leroy house captures the expression of this great 2002 vintage. An exceptional champagne promising a unique tasting experience.
