The estate

Founded in 1811 in Épernay by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët, the House of Perrier-Jouët was built on a shared passion for nature and the arts, embodied in particular by the Japanese anemone designed by Émile Gallé. Now part of the Pernod Ricard group through its subsidiary Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët, the house farms a vineyard of approximately 60 to 65 hectares in Champagne, supplemented by grapes sourced from viticultural partners, for an annual production of around 2.5 to 3 million bottles.

The vineyard

The grapes for this cuvée come from the chalky terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, notably from the grand cru villages of Cramant and Avize, where Perrier-Jouët owns emblematic plots dedicated to Chardonnay. The chalk and limestone soils, which offer excellent drainage while retaining moisture at depth, give the grapes pronounced acidity and a precise aromatic expression, the foundation of the floral and mineral character of this essential Champagne cuvée.
