Vinum

Ruby red, with delicate Cabernet spice; dark and red fruits go hand in hand, joined by floral notes. Silky and fruity on the attack, then tighter, very linear, building intensity, showing good structure; the tannins make their mark, finely interwoven with the fruit. Red-fruited on the finish, fresh, with a peppery edge. An Angelus with drive and freshness.

Decanter

Beautiful fragrance on the nose, super perfumed and floral with sweet red fruits too, lifted and very welcoming. Creamy red cherries and bright strawberries. Round and filling, this has instant appeal with a generous push of crisp fruit but it’s more the texture and layering of elements here that is so wonderful. Feels precise and well detailed with finely woven tannins that have a connotation and almost thickness to them that many in the vintage don’t have. Classic, cool and super fresh but filled with crystalline fruit and so much elegance. Fun, fruity, stylish and just brilliant. Great mineral finish too. Fabulous. I visited Angélus during the harvest and saw first hand pristine berries. 3.65pH.

It requires no effort to find the bouquet of flowers in the perfume, followed by the discovery of licorice, black cherries, espresso, Valrhona chocolate, smoke, and plums on the nose. The palate is even better, showcasing an elegant display of red pit fruits. Silky and refined, the finish emphasizes purity, lift, vibrancy, and a strong sense of place, featuring a mineral-driven conclusion. The wine blends 60% Merlot, with 40% Cabernet Franc, 13.7%. Harvesting took place from September 11 to October 5. The wine is aging as follows: the Merlot is aged in 100% new, French oak, while half the Cabernet Franc is aged in new, French oak, with the other half of the Franc aging in foudres. Drink from 2029-2050. 94-96 Pts

Le Figaro Vin

A delectable bouquet combining ripe red fruits — with raspberry taking the lead — sappy flowers and shards of cocoa bean. Hypnotic and soothing, the palate invites daydreaming, carrying you far from the world’s troubles. Seductive and charming, the wine tirelessly calls for the next sip, driven by tender fruit, a noble bitterness and irresistible sapidity, all wrapped in a sumptuous, velvety, caressing texture. The finish is delightfully saline, with notes of fresh coffee, bringing this generous, expressive wine to a close.
