A Mercurey Village from the Côte Chalonnaise by Château de Chamirey
The estate
Château de Chamirey is a wine estate in the Côte Chalonnaise, in Burgundy, whose winemaking activity was founded in 1934 by the Devillard family. The property features an 18th-century building that overlooks the surrounding vineyards. Still run by the Devillard family today, the estate has built a solid reputation thanks to the richness of its parcels and its commitment to Burgundy terroirs.
The vineyard
The vineyard from which this wine originates lies in the heart of the Mercurey appellation, in the Côte Chalonnaise, on clay-limestone soils characteristic of the region.
