Wonderful purity of fruit, with lemon, pineapple and honey character. Full-bodied, with a sleek, racy texture and a long, sweet fruit aftertaste. Best after 2000.

Description

1997 Sauternes 2e Cru Classe

Chateau de Myrat estate is located in Haut-Barsac. The property covers 30 hectares which include a 22-hecatre vineyard and an 8-hectare park. The 1997 Chateau de Myrat is 88% Semillon, 8% de Sauvignon Blanc, and 4% Muscadelle.

This Sauternes 2e Cru Classe a beautiful, shiny and clear, lightly amber pale yellow hue. The complex nose reveals linden, acacia honey, gingerbread, and nutmeg. The round and silky palate leads to candied fruits and dry apricots finish. The feminine and elegant vintage from Bordeaux presents great harmony and finesse. The thick and round ensemble finishes on spicy notes, with commanding ginger and orange zest.
