Still quite tightly bound. Restrained dark fruit with a hint of spice. Supple fruit palate, tannins follow firmly behind.

Bright, mid crimson. Some pepperiness and real drive on the nose. Not the most concentrated wine, with quite marked acidity as well as light tannins at the moment. Very sandy finish. Competent rather than thrilling. (JR)

The medium ruby-colored 2016 Château Fourcas Dupré offers pretty notes of blueberries, cherries, and flowers, with a medium-bodied, balanced, rounded, and impressively textured style on the palate. It’s a terrific Listrac with real depth.

Kunz barrel sample 17: herbs, restrained bouquet, red and blue berries, wood. Firm, medium-bodied palate with delicate fruit, sandy tannins, bony structure, dry finish.

Deep garnet-red with violet highlights. An inviting bouquet suggesting sweetness with notes of raisins, yet also freshness through hints of blackcurrant. Balanced, moreish character on the palate. The wine is well supported by its tannins and is slightly creamy. It needs a little time in the cellar. A fine success.

Fruity wine, with a slightly firm palate, medium body and medium length.
