A very fresh and precise white with pretty herb notes, lemongrass, lemon zest and jasmine. Flint and hints of white pepper, too. Medium-bodied with a bright, tight palate. 51% sauvignon blanc and 49% semillon. Drink now or hold.

Made from 55% Sauvignon and 45% Sémillon, raised mostly in used larger barrels, the 2021 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Blanc has a vibrant, clean, crisp yet textured, medium-bodied style, offering bright lemon and lime fruits, some subtle honeyed floral notes, bright acidity, a focused, lively texture, and a great finish.

Marked by stone-fruit notes, the 2021 avoids extravagance, opting instead for finesse and subtlety. Saline on the attack, the wine displays beautiful aromatic intensity right from the outset. A pleasant bitterness on the finish aligns with its acid structure.

The 2021 Lafaurie-Peyraguey Sec is already bottled. It has a pleasant green apple, pear and crushed stone bouquet, subtle but gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is balanced with green apple and Nashi pear on the entry, fine weight, cohesive with a lightly spiced finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
