Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2023

A dry, mineral white with sliced green apples, pears and honeysuckle. Mineral undertones on a medium to full body. Linear and fresh. Nice backbone of acidity. 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon. Drink or hold.

60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sémillon. 25 hl/ha. Cask sample. Citrus and tropical-fruit notes. Full, fleshy palate with lively acidity. More accessible than the 2022 at this stage. (JL)

Lemongrass, white peaches, lemon rind, and flowers create the complex aromatics here. Vibrant, crisp, and citrusy, with a touch of crushed stone adding complexity, this is good to go on release. The wine blends 60% Sauvignon Blanc with 40% Semillon. Drink from 2025–2032. 92 pts.

Score: 87–89. The freshness of a spring meadow, a basket of sweet citrus, and more rustic notes of mint, basil, and tarragon contribute to an energetic bouquet, as does the palate, particularly taut.
