Noticeable oak, leading to a somewhat dry, flaky finish; the fruit is still a bit elusive.

Smooth and round on the attack. Creamy, red fruit. Firm, fresh and well crafted. Could be good value.

With an oak, earth and black raspberry character, the wine shows dusty tannins in the black raspberry and dark chocolate finish. 87-89 Pts

Nicely dense structure, dark fruit, plum, blackberry and cassis underlined by fine oak, good extraction, still young but well balanced with good freshness and a long finish.

Purple-garnet. A fairly intense bouquet that almost goes to your head, with roasted raspberry seeds and lingonberries, a delicate coconut-vanilla hint. Juicy, medium-slim body, beautifully integrated tannins, intoxicating finish. It has that certain something that many Pomerols completely lack this year.

Deep purplish garnet, dense at the core, with a violet rim. Quite an intense, almost heady bouquet of roasted raspberry seeds and lingonberries, with a delicate coconut-vanilla sheen. Juicy, medium‑slender body, beautifully integrated tannins, intoxicating finish. It has that certain something many Pomerols utterly lack this year.

Jammy, peppery bouquet, strawberry jelly, raspberry jam, chalk, vanilla. Velvety, medium-bodied palate with delicate fruit, plenty of fine, sandy tannins, a firm, muscular structure, powerful aromatics, long, dry finish. 17/20 2020 - 2032

The vintage has been very well managed at Rouget, which delivers an appealing wine with integrated oak and a supple, velvety texture typical of Merlot.

A lovely dense, tight wine with good length—slightly serious, and successful.
