Château Suduiraut 2024

Delicate fragrance, pineapple, citrus fruits, preserved lemon, roasted nuts, almond blossoms, figs; dense palate, creamy texture, very fine balance of sweetness and acidity, the fruit is crisp, the elements are in harmony, remarkable length, great length, citrus and papaya on the finish. An excellent Suduiraut that will be enjoyable at every stage of its life.

Vibrant and tropical, with juicy pineapple, ripe mango and zesty citrus lifted by bright acidity. Layers of ginger and saffron spice add complexity, while a mineral streak keeps it precise. The botrytis influence is pronounced yet elegant, giving a refreshing finish without cloying sweetness. 130g/l residual sugar.

100% Sémillon. RS 130 g/l. 11.5 hl/ha. Cask sample. Burnished gold. Fresh and expressive on the nose with pineapple, mandarin and honeyed notes. Sweet palate but not heavy or overblown, tempered by the bitter-botrytised freshness and finish. Very pure and absolutely delicious. (JL)

White peaches, pineapples, vanilla, lemon curd, honey, saffron, apricots, and candied tangerines get the wine going. Sweet, intense, opulent, and most importantly, vibrant, this sweet treat is going to be fabulous to enjoy young. But, if you are able to keep your hands off it, the wine can age for decades. The wine was made from 100% Semillon. Drink from 2028-2060. 95-97 pts

The nose is aromatic, revealing notes of apricot, quince and, more subtly, fresh pineapple, with touches of verbena, a fine hint of eucalyptus, discreet hints of ginger, a subtle touch of spice and a note of candied orange peel. Lovely minerality. The palate is well-crafted, supple, and offers richness, roundness, precise definition and indulgence. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of lemon paste, pineapple in syrup and, more delicately, crystallized mandarin, combined with touches of vineyard peach paste, hints of mango, as well as fine hints of apricot blossom, ginger, candied mandarin, vanilla, small nuts and a subtle, almost toasty note on the finish. Lovely persistence. A beautifully crafted wine—gourmet, creamy, balanced and elegant. A very discreet hint of verbena (in the background) guides the tasting.

This really is charming, full of marmalade and orange zest, saffron and lime, bitter finish in the best way, gives focus and rises up through the palate. 4.1 TA. 3.83 pH. 130 g/l. 50% new oak. Yellow colour with green highlights. An intense, delicate, fruity nose, subtle and marked by botrytis. It becomes more complex as it opens up in the glass. Extremely precise on the attack, with real class in the texture, the wine melts across the palate, complex and refined. Long, very good, and impossible to spit out. 100% Sémillon. Alcohol: 13.9% - pH: 3.83. Residual sugar: 130 g/L. Yield: 11 hL/ha.
