The 2018 Lune d’Argent has a perfumed nose of white flowers and honeysuckle, with subtle frangipane scents patiently waiting in the background. The palate is well balanced, with a slightly honeyed entry, plenty of tropical fruit (passion fruit and guava), and a concentrated, almost viscous finish that lingers on the palate. Yes, it does come across as a bit heady, but it’s still thoroughly enjoyable.

Rich, lush, creamy, juicy, fruity and already fun to drink, this ready-to-go delight leaves you with all the just-squeezed Meyer lemon, pineapple and pear you can handle.

The slightly forced breadth from the ageing is a bit distracting, but the 2018’s substance, rounded out by well-handled oak, becomes more refined with exotic aromas.

The nose is fruity, mineral, well-crafted, and offers freshness, a subtle gourmet side, and ripe/fleshy fruit. It reveals notes of ripe nectarine, juicy ripe apple, and, more slightly, juicy/ripe quince, combined with fine hints of citrus, very subtle touches of minerality, and an imperceptible hint of flowers (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced, and gourmand, offering a tangy framework, juiciness, tension, roundness, a touch of smoothness, a fine fleshy/rich character, indulgence, and a delicate creaminess. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy apple, fleshy/juicy pear, and, more slightly, fleshy/juicy nectarine, combined with small touches of juicy quenette, juicy citrus, very fine hints of fresh mango, and a very discreet hint of ripe almond on the finish.

Beautiful white peach, honeysuckle, white flowers, and a touch of toasted almond emerge from the 2018 Lune d'Argent Blanc, and it's medium-bodied, with a balanced, elegant texture, nicely integrated acidity, and plenty of fruit and depth. A blend of 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon, it's going to be even better with another year in bottle and keep for 7-8 years.

One of a pair of dry wines produced by the Domaine de Chevalier team from vines in the Sauternes region, this is bright and fruity. With its generous citrus character and tangy texture, it is both ripe and fresh. The wine is just ready to drink.
