Description
Characteristics and tasting notes of the Pinot Gris Grand Cru "Furstentum" 2022
Tasting
Colour
The brilliance of this wine reveals itself through a luminous golden hue.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with intense notes of ripe yellow fruit, apricot and honey, underscored by a delicate smoky touch typical of the grape variety.
Palate
The attack is full-bodied and generous. The palate reveals an unctuous texture perfectly balanced by a lovely mineral tension that extends the finish with notes of sweet spice.
The masterful expression of a great Alsatian terroir
The estate
The Domaine Albert Mann is an essential reference at the heart of Alsace. Born from the union of two great winegrowing families, the Manns and the Barthelmés, the estate is now run with passion by brothers Maurice and Jacky Barthelmé. Driven by a constant pursuit of excellence, they craft wines that express the complexity of their terroirs with remarkable purity.
The vineyard
The Grand Cru "Furstentum" is an exceptional terroir renowned for its marl-limestone-sandstone soil and full south-facing exposure. This particularly favourable microclimate allows the Pinot Gris grapes to reach optimal ripeness while retaining lovely freshness, giving rise to wines of great depth.
Grape variety
Pinot Gris (100%).
