The elegance and minerality of a white Vin de France
The estate
The modern history of Comte Abbatucci began in the 1920s with Jacques Abbatucci. This family estate is now run by Jean-Charles Abbatucci, supported by his daughter Faustine. The estate stands out for its holistic approach and its role as a living conservatory, home to eighteen indigenous grape varieties. Comte Abbatucci has thus established itself as an essential reference, combining respect for the living world, historical heritage and the celebration of a unique winemaking legacy.
The vineyard
This Vin de France comes from vines grown at a moderate altitude. The specific terroir of this cuvée consists of sandy-loam soils, particularly well suited to expressing the estate's white grape variety. The vineyard is managed according to strict biodynamic principles, regarding the land as a living organism. The ecosystem is preserved through the use of natural preparations, soil work carried out by draught horses and the presence of sheep to maintain the grass cover.
Winemaking and ageing
For the Faustine Vieilles Vignes 2025 cuvée, the grapes are harvested by hand. The winemaking follows a minimal-intervention approach, guided by the lunar calendar and the exclusive use of indigenous yeasts during spontaneous fermentations. Ageing is carried out without any oak, in order to preserve the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of the terroir.
Grape variety
Vermentino.
