Service and storage

The authentic expression of a white wine from Saint-Péray
The estate
Founded in 1994, Domaine du Tunnel is located in the northern Rhône Valley, on the right bank of the river in Ardèche. At its creation, the estate had 2.5 hectares of vines, and now spans 12 hectares across several communes. Currently run by its founder Stéphane Robert and his wife Sandrine, the estate stands out for its unique winery, set up in 2014 within a former railway tunnel dating from the early twentieth century. The estate is recognised for its minimal-intervention approach and rigorous manual work.
The vineyard
The grapes for this cuvée come from the Saint-Péray appellation. The vines grow on steep slopes characterised by granitic soils, typical of this part of the Rhône Valley. This demanding terroir requires meticulous manual work, sometimes assisted by horses or mechanical winches due to the steep gradient. The vineyard includes a significant proportion of old vines, some approaching a century in age, favouring controlled yields and a lovely concentration in the berries.
Winemaking and ageing
The making of the "Pur Blanc" 2024 follows a minimal-intervention winemaking philosophy. Fermentations occur naturally to preserve the clarity and purity of the fruit. Ageing is then carried out in a measured way, without seeking excessive extraction, in order to respect the authenticity of the terroir and the identity of the grape varieties.
Grape varieties
This wine is made from Marsanne and Roussanne.
