Louis Latour : Corton Grand cru "Perrières" 2015

The Perrières will form the base of Maison Latour's venerable Corton-Grancey bottling, and it reveals a more supple, expansive profile than the Clos de la Vigne au Saint. It has darker fruit tones though similar dimension, with its tannic chassis more deeply enrobed in fruit than its harder, more masculine sibling.

Ripe fruit is evident on the nose with complex cinnamon and nutmeg notes. Medium to full body and gorgeous depth of fruit that finishes soft and classy. Savory. Give it three to four years, but already a joy to taste.

Taut, mineral, slender—a 2015 that combines vibrancy and depth. A few years in the cellar will allow it to fully blossom.
