Food and wine pairings
This great white wine will pair beautifully with noble fish such as roasted turbot, seafood or poultry in sauce. It will also be an ideal match for a creamy mushroom risotto, pan-seared foie gras or aged cheeses such as a mature Comté.

This great cellaring wine can be enjoyed after a few years in the cellar and will evolve magnificently until around 2042.
The power and precision of a great white Burgundy wine
The estate
Representing the thirteenth generation of his family, Pierre-Vincent Girardin founded his own estate in 2016, at the age of eighteen, drawing on historic vines passed down by his father. Located in Meursault, at the heart of Burgundy, the property now spans around 6.5 hectares on the Côte de Beaune, complemented by top-tier sourced grapes. Considered one of the region's rising stars, Pierre Girardin stands out for his hands-off approach and ultra-modern winery, giving rise to wines of remarkable purity and precision.
The vineyard
This wine comes from the prestigious Premier Cru climat "Les Grandes Ruchottes", located on the heights of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. Perched on high slopes with a south to south-east exposure, this terroir is characterised by thin, very stony soils dominated by Bathonian limestone and clay. The vineyard is managed using environmentally friendly methods, close to organic farming, with regular ploughing and the complete absence of chemical herbicides or pesticides.
The vintage
The 2022 vintage was marked by warm and sunny weather conditions, promoting excellent ripening of the berries. Thanks to the altitude and the topography of the steeply sloped plots, the vines were able to preserve a beautiful natural freshness, resulting in juices combining generous concentration with vibrant acidity.
Winemaking and ageing
The making of the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru "Les Grandes Ruchottes" 2022 begins with a slow, gentle pressing of whole bunches. Fermentation is triggered naturally by indigenous yeasts. Ageing takes place over approximately one year in bespoke 456-litre oak barrels, a technical choice that preserves the purity of the fruit while limiting the oak imprint. Bâtonnage is kept to a strict minimum. The wine then rests for six months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
