The estate

Born in 2003 from the split of the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, the Domaine Bruno Colin released its first vintage in 2004. Based in Chassagne-Montrachet in Bourgogne, the vineyard spans 8 to 9 hectares across five communes in the Côte de Beaune, encompassing around twenty appellations. Bruno Colin manages his chardonnay and pinot noir vines using sustainable practices, favoring mechanical soil work. Over just a few vintages, the estate has established itself as one of the benchmarks of the Côte de Beaune.

The vineyard

This Bourgogne Aligoté comes from a 23-are, 7-centiare plot located in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet. The aligoté vines, planted in 1988, are rooted in a clay-limestone terroir. The estate practices sustainable viticulture with mechanical soil work and ploughing, respecting the vineyard’s natural balance. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful sorting carried out directly in the vineyard.

Winemaking and aging

After manual harvesting and sorting in the vineyard, the Bourgogne Aligoté 2022 is vinified and then aged for 10 months in stainless-steel tanks, preserving all the aromatic purity and liveliness that are characteristic of the grape variety.
