The estate
Founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto, the eponymous house is a true benchmark in Piedmont. Based in Alba, this illustrious house built its reputation on showcasing the local terroirs. Today, the founding family still owns the estate, with Federico Ceretto at the helm as managing director. The vineyard covers around 200 hectares farmed organically. The estate's identity rests on a constant pursuit of the pure expression of terroir, masterfully combining the region's winemaking heritage with a modern, sustainable vision.

The vineyard
This Barolo comes from the prestigious Rocche di Castiglione additional geographical mention (MGA), located in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto. The plot, covering a mere 0.41 hectares, stands out for its steep slope and south-east exposure, which give it a cool microclimate. The vines thrive on poor, loose and particularly stony soils, where the bedrock frequently breaks the surface. This unique terroir shapes the deep identity of the cuvée.
