Description
Characteristics and tasting tips for Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Williams Grand Vintage Collection Limited Edition Bow Creation 2003
Tasting
Appearance
Beautiful bright golden hue, enhanced by a faint pale green glint.
Nose
From the outset, a deep, creamy, velvety maturity asserts itself. The first notes evoke crème brûlée, praline, and nougatine. As it aerates, reductive accents (coffee bean, roasted hazelnut) emerge, then give way to warm, shimmering nuances of dried fruits such as apricot, date, and fig. This rich fruit character intertwines with hints of tea and spices.
Palate
The palate is broad, sensual, and enveloping, without any heaviness. The texture is soft and silky. The dense fruit recalls roasted, flambéed pineapple. After 14 years of cellar aging, the initial bitterness has melted away; the finish, now smooth, retains marked freshness and notes of sap, fig, and dark chocolate.
An exceptional limited edition by Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Williams
The estate
Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, Moët & Chandon quickly established itself among European courts. His grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, contributed to its international renown and created the celebrated Moët Impérial in tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte, loyal to the House and initiator of sabrage. Integrated into the LVMH group since 1987, it perpetuates its savoir-faire by crafting exceptional cuvées.
The limited edition
Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams explored the House’s archives and discovered that in 1892, the emblematic bow adorning the bottles was originally a ribbon. A symbol of union, generosity, joy, and surprise, this bow is at the heart of this limited edition.
For the Bow Capsule collection, each bottle is adorned with a bow embroidered by the Parisian artisans of Atelier Baqué Molinié. Embellished with signature pearls, this refined accessory is detachable and can be worn as a brooch.
The Magnum Grand Vintage Collection 2003, presented in a black case, was selected by the Cellar Master, Benoît Gouez, for the depth it derives from a year unlike any other in Champagne. A unique cuvée with a generous, expressive personality that showcases all the House’s savoir-faire.
Grape varieties
Pinot Meunier (43%), Pinot Noir (29%), and Chardonnay (28%). The dosage of this Extra-Brut is 5 g/L.
