The Chalky, Refined Expression of a Grand Cru from the Côte des Blancs
The Estate
Officially founded in 1985 by Alain, a passionate former broker, the house of Thiénot quickly established itself among the great names of the region. Located between Taissy and the historic heart of Reims, this family-owned, independent estate embraces a resolutely forward-looking and modern vision. Today, the founder runs the estate alongside his children, Garance and Stanislas, who are carrying this expertise forward. The vineyard spans approximately thirty hectares, showcasing prestigious terroirs to craft wines of great precision.
The Vineyard
This wine comes exclusively from two emblematic villages of the Côte des Blancs in Champagne: Oger and Cramant. Classified as Grand Cru, these exceptional terroirs are built on soils very rich in chalk. This geological feature ensures excellent drainage and optimal thermal regulation, promoting slow ripening of the berries and giving the wine its characteristic tension and minerality.
Vinification and Aging
Drawn from a meticulous selection within the house's wine library, the Immersion 2017 cuvée was chosen following rigorous tastings led by cellar master Nicolas Uriel, in collaboration with the family. It is the third chapter of an unprecedented trilogy created to celebrate a symbolic anniversary of the estate.
Grape Variety
100% Chardonnay.
