The estate

Château Closiot is owned by the emblematic winemaking couple from the Mâconnais, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens. Driven by their passion for Sauternes wines, they acquired this Barsac estate in 2017. Here, they craft outstanding sweet and dry wines, widely acclaimed by critics.

Located in Barsac, the Château Closiot vineyard benefits from morning mists and sun-drenched harvests. These conditions are conducive to the development of botrytis, which yields wines that are concentrated yet light.
