Description
2006 Pessac-Leognan, 1. Cru Classe, Bordeaux
The Chateau Haut-Brion vineyard was created in 1533, making it one of the oldest Bordeaux vineyards. The vineyard stretches over more than 51 hectares and is located in Pessac, on the Pessac-Leognan appellation. This 2006 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
The wine displays a very deep colour. The nose is discrete at first but then develops on mineral notes, followed by red berry and roasted coffee bean aromas. The 2006 Chateau Haut-Brion reveals incredible charm and complexity. The wine carries fresh tannins with an outstanding length.
