This is full of dark fruits, maintained in the winery by the use of careful pumping over and short maceration periods at a maximum of 26°C. The grapes come from a wide array of sites, so it helps that winemaker, Stéphane Derenoncourt, chose to vinify them separately and blend after ageing – protecting the subtle identity of each in the final wine. Bottled in May 2018.

The red fruit is very appealing here with a wealth of raspberries and mulberries, as well as redcurrant notes. The palate has attractively juicy and succulent red berries and a chalky, piercing finish. Second wine of Château Prieuré-Lichine. Try from 2023.
